Lower extremity orthopedic services refer to medical treatments aimed at diagnosing, managing and treating conditions that affect the hips, knees, feet, ankles and lower legs. Lower extremity treatments aim to restore the patient’s mobility and relieve pain in the lower limbs, including the hips, knees, ankles, feet, and associated muscles and connective tissues. Some treatment services include casting, bracing and splinting; physical therapy; arthroscopic surgeries; minimally invasive procedures; non-invasive treatments such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation therapy and cryotherapy; fabrication of custom-made orthotics or prostheses; and rehabilitation exercises tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
