The entire team at Victoria Orthopedic Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality of orthopedic care possible in a caring and compassionate environment. A positive patient experience is of utmost importance to us.
Life is busy so we know that the thought of sitting on hold to get the information you need from our office staff is a daunting task, especially if you or a loved one is dealing with an orthopedic injury. For this reason we have compiled a list of patient resources below so that you can get the information you need and get back to your life.
We will complete Disability, Family Medical Leave, or other insurance forms requests for a nominal fee, which is payable in advance. Requests are processed in the order in which they are received and may take 3-5 business days for processing. Please contact our office at (361) 576-0633 for information on any requests not listed above.
Fees charged in this office are reasonable and customary and are comparable with those set in other orthopedic practices in our region. As a courtesy, we do submit insurance claims for our patients. It is important that you have your correct insurance information at the time of your appointment and to notify our staff if your insurance coverage changes anytime during your care at Victoria Orthopedic Center. It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure proper authorization and physician participation before making an appointment. We encourage patients to read their policy book or call their insurance company to learn about the benefits and coverage of their policy.
Currently, we participate with most insurance carriers. If you have a question about your plan, please ask for assistance.
By law, patients are expected to pay all co-pays and deductibles at the time of service. Monthly statements are mailed to each patient with the balance due. Payment is expected within 30 days. Our business office staff will be happy to assist you with any questions regarding the services provided.
If you are interested in obtaining copies of your medical records, you may call our office at 361-576-0633. Please allow 5-7 days for processing. A nominal fee must be paid before copying records.
Proper authorization from the patient, parent or legal guardian is required for the release of all patient records.
Please note that we retain medical records for ten years. Records of a minor child shall be maintained until the child reaches the age of 18 or becomes emancipated, with record retention of ten years from the last patient encounter regardless of the age of the child.
